So I've been getting some queries on my cleaning/makeup regime and said I would do a post on it, so here it is. I really don't have perfect skin. Not now anyway. I used to, about 2 years ago or so, but all of a sudden I just started to have bumps on my forehead and it has not been flawless ever since. It's not that bad but enough for my boyfriend to strongly urge me to visit a dermatologist to do something about it.
I use the Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance Gel, washing twice every time I wash my face - derm's orders. Then I use the Neutrogena Deep Clean Blackhead Eliminating Scrub. Tone with the Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner then use La Roche Posey Sunscreen before putting on my makeup. I remove my makeup with the Bioderma makeup remover.
I use the Garnier Instant Fairness BB Eye Roll-On under my eyes. I don't know what it does really but it's an easy way to put on concealer for my dark circles because you just roll it on. After that, I put on Chanel Vitalumiere Eclat Pressed Powder. I used to use a NARS liquid foundation but switched when I visited the derm. Not sure if it contributed to my skin condition but I really like the Chanel foundation because it really makes your face look soft and the powder is also very fine and soft and it does stay throughout the day. The only downside is that it is rather expensive, S$90+ for the compact and refill.
If I'm using eyeshadow, I'll put on some Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Then I'll either use Urban Decay Naked, Sleek Storm or Sleek Oh So Special palette. I line with either Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner (have gone through 3 sticks of this) or Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner. Recently went back to putting on mascara and I use the Maybelline Magnum Volume Express Super Film. It's not waterproof but smudgeproof and I'm just amazed at how easily it comes off when I wash my face. For brows I use Canmake Powder Eyebrow. I actually used a brow powder from Daiso before this but lost it and somehow never managed to find it again at Daiso, but for it did the job just fine and for S$2 I'm not complaining at all!
For blush I use a Sleek Blush and Sleek One Finishing Powder because the blush is matte and I realize that I don't really like matte cheeks so the finishing powder provides the shimmer.
I used to be a MAC makeup fiend. In fact my foray into makeup began when I was in secondary school and I used to wear a lot of loud eyeshadow colors like pink, purple, green etc. I still remember when I was in my goth phase, I was trying to find the perfect hot pink and red eyeshadow. Those were the days!
